Russell Westbrook Injury

Russell Westbrook has recently undergone surgery AGAIN on his knee. He underwent a ‘minor’ arthroscopic surgery, which is estimated to leave him out for the preseason and possibly the first few games of the regular season as well. While it is supposedly a ‘minor’ surgery, we never know what could happen. Russell Westbrook has a history of this issue dating back to 2013, when he tore his meniscus. The problem with Westbrook is that he is aging and his playstyle is heavily centered around his athleticism. This could not only cause his career to decline a lot as he ages, but may also cause him to sustain injuries. Experts such as Paul Pierce have weighed on in the issue and have stated they are quite concerned about this surgery. Thunder fans must be nervous about his re-evaluation in 4 weeks, as predictions were that the Thunder would do well this season and could steal a top 4 seed – but now they have to hope this injury issue does not persist. Until then, we’ll just have to hope for the best.
